Timbre offers fully integrated security through its sign on facilities. To enter Timbre, a user must know valid employee ID and password. Once signed on, the user can only access authorised screens. Timbre’s security tailors all of the menus for each user so that only the active functions for each user are highlighted. Access rights are defined for user groups, and each Timbre user can be assigned to any number of user groups. The access rights of a user are the union (sum) of the access rights of all the groups to which the user is assigned. Access to data values can be assigned at the screen, tab, or field level. For each data item, users can be granted rights to view, insert, update, copy, and/or deleted the data. In addition, users can be restricted to view information for only certain locations or departments approve work orders, override meter edit ranges, and more! |
